(A polyptych is an arrangement of four or more panels (as of a painting) grouped together.
A triptych is 3 paintings, and a diptych is 2.)
30 x30 centimetres, acrylique sur panneau de bois
"Les applaudissements pour les artistes !"
Ce tableau fait partie d'une série à la recherche d'une raison pour l'abstraction. Je l'ai travaillé rapidement, sans réflection.
If I try to keep the experience of making the art light and fun longer and don't grip too tightly to a particular outcome, I often arrive at a place that I like more easily and sometimes surprisingly quickly.
One of a series where Reds often predominate the color field.
It came together easily. I liked the picture early on, which often is not the case.
A viewer's comment: I particularly like "A Hand for Artists" both for its saturated red and for how it complicates the image of hand and human. I struggled initially to see the two figures as aspects of hands (one giving an OK sign and the other clinging) before I saw them as human figures and before I noticed the red hand in the middle ground.
Another comment: "It looks like animals on the move. It reminds me of cats playing."
